PLAN DESIGN & IMPLEMENTATION
Provide high-level consultation to ensure that each client is presented with options to best suit their needs and make implementation and/or conversion process as easy and “hands-free” for the client as possible.
Whether it be the initial drafting, required restatement to comply with IRS regulations, plan amendments, or plan termination services, provide the necessary support to ensure the plan remains in compliance and retains its qualified status.
COMPLIANCE TESTING & TRUST RECONCILIATION
Perform all necessary testing to ensure plan is meeting requirements under IRC 401(k), 401(m), 402(g), 410(b), 401(a)(4), 401(a)(17), 401(a)(26), 404, 414(s), 415, and 416.
Provide actuarial certifications including AFTAP and Schedule SB/MB, ASC 715/FASB reporting, and PBGC filings.
Track of eligibility/vesting, produce annual benefit statements and necessary notices/disclosures, and assist with the preparation of loan and distribution paperwork.
ANNUAL GOVERNMENT REPORTING
Prepare signature-ready Form 5500 and Form 8955-SSA, and as needed, issue Form 1099-R and Form 945 to report distributions paid from the plan.
Provide guidance and assistance with IRS and DOL audits as well as large plan independent audit assistance for Form 5500 reporting.
If your plan meets the large plan threshold and needs an independent audit, we have several referral partners with extensive experience conducting ERISA audits.
Provide advice on correction programs (VCP, DFVCP) and assist with applicable reporting needed (Form 5330) in order for the plan to remain in compliance with IRS and DOL regulations.
